EHR Clinical Solutions Analyst (Majority Remote Work) - IS-Clin Integration/Tech (Galveston)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent and/or five years related experience.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for formulating and designing specifications for highly complex software and programming applications and/or modifies/maintains existing applications. Investigates, identifies, and implements appropriate solutions for clinical systems to support new and existing initiatives, enhance patient care, increase operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsible for acquiring an understanding of the assigned system applications, functions, and features end-users would experience. Participates in and leads workforce groups to identify and employ technical and application initiatives for best practice and enhanced healthcare operations in alignment with UTMB’s mission.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the design, development, documentation, implementation, and support of integration applications, including 24x7 on-call duties.
- Maintain a working knowledge of integrated applications and associated user procedures in order to facilitate testing and trouble-shooting activities.
- Ensure appropriate use of HL7 (Health Level 7) and other integration standards.
- Monitor the status of all interfaces to insure the timely flow of data to the respective systems.
- May be assigned to coordinate specific projects and resources related to such projects.
- Must have Cloverleaf Integration Engine level 2 certification and be familiar with Unix and TCL.
- Must be willing to obtain Epic Bridges certification. Must be willing to learn and manage system administration activities on interface engine systems.
- Must be able to work within both a team-oriented environment and independently.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical and logic flows and project management skills is required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communications is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Infor Cloverleaf Level 1 and Level 2 Certification, familiar with UNIX and TCL.
- A minimum of two years’ experience with HL7 (Health Level 7) and interface engine technology.
- Bridges certification preferred.
Work Schedule:
M-F 8-5 and on-call; Up to 100% remote work
Salary Range:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
