Biomedical/Clinical Engineering Specialist III, Institutional Office of Regulatory Nonclinical Studies
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide advanced engineering skills and direct supervisory support within a biomedical or clinical engineering laboratory, research, or service setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of related experience.
SPECIFIC JOB RELATED DUTIES:
- Defines equipment problems, develops clinical and laboratory equipment testing procedures and analyzes results.
- Tests equipment to ensure it meets specifications.
- Evaluates and prepares reports of unique or recurrent equipment problems; adapts equipment for new or modified requirements.
- May make recommendations for equipment purchases.
- Defines research problems, develops and designs tests and procedures, and modifies design of programs as needed.
- Performs statistical and other analyses and prepares technical reports regarding methodology and results.
- May design hardware or software.
- Collaborates interdepartmentally with faculty and management to design and modify procedures and equipment.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
SALARY RANGE:
Annual Salary $72,497 - $94,246 Commensurate with experience.
