Trauma Liaison/Mktg Associate (Flexible Work Schedule including Weekends with Travel)
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a certified EMT or Licensed Paramedic.
Job Summary:
Cultivates referrals to UTMB through relationship development with regional EMS programs, free-standing Emergency Rooms, Urgent Cares, employers and community organizations.
Job Duties:
- Promotes UTMB trauma service, Neuroscience Programs and Cardiac Programs to regional EMS leadership and staff, free-standing Emergency Rooms and Urgent Cares.
- Develops annual continuing education series for regional EMS teams using UTMB faculty and other resources
- Develops monthly/bi-monthly clinical review sessions with EMS teams to review actual cases brought to UTMB emergency rooms for training, performance improvement and follow-up purposes
- Works with marketing to develop and distribute EMS newsletter to showcase UTMB providers, services and ongoing educational programs
- Collaborates regularly with representatives from Faculty Group Practice (FGP) to identify and promote new faculty internally and externally.
- Participates in community events sponsored by UTMB as may be requested to promote UTMB providers, services and programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent understanding of EMS operations and paramedic ongoing education requirements
- Competence in dealing with a variety of individuals including physicians, executive leaders, employers and community leaders.
- Proactive approach to problem resolution.
- Creativity, time management, and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least five years of experience as an EMT or paramedic.
Salary Range:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evening and weekends
- Although primarily located in a standard office environment, the working environment is varied to include heavy travel in the primary service area
- Must be able to travel in own vehicle throughout the UTMB service area (Galveston County, Southern Brazoria County, Harris County and RMCHP area locations
