Stores Clerk II - Huntsville Central Pharmacy
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the stocking and clerical skills necessary to maintain proper inventory levels and stock records for a stores unit.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Receives, stores, and distributes materials.
Conveys materials from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials according to pre-determined sequence on racks, shelves, or in bins.
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items.
Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
Maintains inventory records.
Adheres to internal controls established for department.
Performs related duties as required.
EQUIPMENT:
Works with various equipment which lifts, pushes, pulls, stacks, or moves materials and equipment. Standard office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Standard warehouse/office environment. May be located within the confines of a prison, jail or juvenile detention center. Security clearance is required; pre-employment drug testing is also required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse, physical duties include picking, packing and/or shipping of customer orders.
- Two (2) years of experience in a previous job that performed 8 hours of duties that included standing, walking, bending and/or lifting.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills and/or shipping technology.
Salary is commensurate with years of relevant work experience.
