Speech Pathologist I - Speech & Audiology - OTO (Galveston)
JOB DESCRIPTION:To provide professional skills in the comprehensive evaluation of patients with speech and language impairments,and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services.
Min Qualifications
Master's degree in related field, Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and Licensure or eligible for Speech Pathology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Exciting position with both inpatient and outpatient pediatric speech pathology services in Galveston, Texas. Join the cutting-edge services at one of Texas' leading academic health science centers. This position will have a primarily pediatric focus in feeding, swallowing and developmental services in coordination with UTMB’s Level IV NICU, acute pediatric services and affiliated clinics including pediatric chronic care clinic.
Specific Job Related Duties
The UTMB Center for Audiology and Speech Pathology provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient services for hearing, communication, balance and swallowing. Speech-language pathology pediatric services include:
- Modified Barium Swallow studies (MBS)
- Pediatric Fiber-endoscopic Evaluations of Swallowing (FEES)
- Pediatric feeding assessment and treatment
- Interdisciplinary Chronic Care Clinic team evaluations
- Speech-language and cognitive-linguistic assessments and treatment
Preferred Work Experience
Experience in pediatrics and pediatric feeding with interest in both acute care and outpatient services.
Preferred Language
English - bilingual Spanish is helpful, but not required
