Postdoctoral Fellow, Pharmacology
Job Description:
The position will conduct synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry research, studying the rational drug design and chemical synthesis of novel bioactive small molecules as pharmacological probes and potential drug candidates for the treatment of cancer, central nervous system (CNS) disorders, and/or infectious diseases.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience.
- Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry
- At least 4 years synthetic organic chemistry lab experience
- Some understanding of medicinal chemistry and biology
- Hands on laboratory skills on multi-step organic synthesis
- Candidates must have a record of publications as well as excellent communication (oral and written) skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in computer-assisted rational drug design with molecular modeling and docking is a plus
- Experience in working as part of a multidisciplinary team highly desirable
