Medical Education Specialist, Educational Development
JOB DESCRIPTION: To assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of medical education programs in collaboration with the Assistant and Associate Deans and faculty of the Medical School.
Specifically works with all components of Educational Affairs (Office of Educational Development, Instruction Management Office and Office of Clinical Education) on projects that span multiple units, in order to integrate concepts and policies across the continuum of the curriculum.
Min Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with three years experience in medical/health professions education.
Specific Job Related Duties:
- Advises and collaborates with the Assistant and Associate Deans and faculty on educational projects, placing special emphasis on innovative instructional modalities.
- Work as a liaison across four departments performing compliance analysis and planning activities while exercising independent judgment and analysis.
- Develops, researches and writes content for medical workshops for Coordinators
- Researches software packages and determines which fits the needs of the Provost Office
- Creates, maintains and queries curriculum map for the School of Medicine
- Identify process system holes and redundancy within the curriculum mapping process.
- Participates in research relevant to medical education.
- Creates quarterly Educational Affairs newsletter
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Performs related duties as required.

Preferred Education:
- Masters degree preferred but not required.
