Primary Objective of Position:

Energetic, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Delivery and/or retrieve print media materials for university customers and provide support to all areas of production as needed

Primary Responsibilities:
•Use basic computer skills to utilize PC and iPad tablet to enter data, retrieve data, capture delivery information and other job tracking functions.


•Deliver and/or retrieves materials as instructed.


•Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from vehicle.


•Maintains daily log of mileage, number of trips, passengers/cargo, destination and fuel consumption.


•Inspects condition of assigned vehicle on a regular basis with regard to oil, fuel, tires and water.
•Reports any needed adjustments or repairs to supervisors.


•Adheres to internal controls established for department.


•Performs related duties as required.


Additional Support:
•Assist with operation of cutters, folding machines, collating machinery, saddle stitcher, drilling machine, laminating machine and shrink-wrapping machine.


•Assist with the operation of high-speed digital printing equipment and any additional auxiliary equipment complimentary to producing forms, brochures, booklets and other print media.


•Assist other Print Bindery technicians as needed.

Required Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of print bindery experience. Print shop experience required. Completion of defensive driver course within 30 days of hire. Must possess current Texas Class “C” driver’s license.

 
Equipment:
Operation of university vehicles, trucks or vans.
PC and Apple iPad tablet.
Standard digital print and bindery production machinery. 


Working Environment:
Driving vehicles sometimes under adverse weather conditions.
Continuous reaching, standing and moving.
Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs.
