Coordinator II Residency Training Program, Neurosurgery
Job Description:
To perform a wide variety of professional duties in the management of all medical and House Staff programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent. 3 years related experience.
Specific Job Related Duties:
- Provide direction and support Neurosurgery Residency Program and Associate Program Director.
- Support Program Manager with various tasks and projects related to program enhancement, reporting, finance, and surveys
- Upload reporting documents into New Innovations (web-based program monitoring software)
- Assign and track evaluations and send completion and delinquent reminders to faculty and residents
- Create and track block schedules for residents using New Innovations and cross reference with Amcon.
- Attend the required semiannual Clinical Competency Committee evaluation meeting to document the progress of each resident
- Assist with annual recruitment process of new residents. Scheduling interviews, preparing itineraries, setting up and maintaining all files, procuring accommodations for applicants and meals through vendors
- Assist with all aspects of the onboarding process for new incoming residents
- Assist with the completion, and submission of all forms, surveys, and questionnaires for the program
- Coordinate all requirements for residents, such as risk management, ACLS, and BLS
- Input and maintain resident data into New Innovations
- Coordinate and process both domestic and foreign travel
- Order supplies and process vendor payments using PeopleSoft
- Input and reconcile annual resident allocations and program expenses
- Perform other related duties as required
- Back-up to other education coordinator(s)

Preferred Skill/Competency:
- Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills (Required)
- Highly organized, proactive, self-starter with experience in high traffic/volume, fast paced office
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Purchasing, travel and reimbursement experience
- Experience creating itineraries
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Familiar with MyUTMB, New Innovations, Kronos, ERAS, ACGME, NRMP, & PeopleSoft
Preferred Work Experience:
- Previous residency or fellowship training program office experience
- Purchasing/Accounts Payable
- ACGME experience
