Applications Systems Analyst - CMC
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for providing basic to intermediate analysis and documentation of business and management problems for systems and programming requirements. Assists in providing solutions to problems utilizing more efficient operational procedure, work flow, and information technology solution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Applications System Analyst, primarily responsible for software development using C#, writing SQL queries and stored procedures and developing data extraction used by reporting platform. Also includes some application backend development.
To perform this job effectively, the candidate must have:
- Strong understanding of objected oriented programming.
- Experience and proficiency in .NET/C#.
- Experience and proficiency in SQL (Oracle and/or SQL servers).
Secondary skills include:
- Unix shell programming, familiarity with AIX, korn shell, cron and Perl.
- Ability to work with interface structures (flat files, csv) and knowledge of FTP, HL7 and X12.
- Web development, including knowledge in: HTML, PHP, ASP, Javascript & AJAX.
Nice to have:
- General report development: Crystal Reports, SSRS, PowerBI, SAP Business Objects are a huge plus.
- Familiarity with C++/Visual C++.
- Familiarity with SSIS and SSAS/OLAP data cubes.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard office environment. Security clearance is required; pre-employment drug testing is also required.
WORK LOCATION:
Remotely but may be required to work out of the Baybrook Office Park (CMC Offices) in Friendswood on occasion.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; work schedule subject to change based on business need.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and one (1) year related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Experience programming in Oracle is preferred.
Salary is commensurate with years of relevant work experience.
